The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.25) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped southern part width of Clarendon Road at Hyde, in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside This is to enable development as permitted by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council under reference 22/01112/FUL.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO4484206).
They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Hyde Library, Town Hall, Greenfield St, Hyde, SK14 1AL.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 19 June 2026.
