The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (North West) (No.28) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of two irregular shaped areas of highway to the east of Eggerton Hardcourt at Skelmersdale in the Borough of West Lancashire.
This is to enable development as permitted by West Lancashire Borough Council, under reference 2023/0975/FUL.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NW/ S247/5743).
They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Digmoor Post Office, 164 Birkrig, Skelmersdale, WN8 9HS.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 18 June 2026.
