Condition 3 Approved drawings and documents:
Drawings to be updated to the following, amended to include removal of tree T2:
Condition 6 Submitted arboricultural details:
To include the attached addendum, which includes the PICUS report and removal of tree T2:
NB - The applicant has undertaken an additional PICAS survey into the condition of the large beech tree (T2) adjacent to Cambrian Road. This is a diagnostic test to detect internal decay, hollows, or cavities in trees and was recommended within the arboricultural survey submitted with the application.
The outcome of the PICAS test confirms Ganoderma bracket at the base on the north side. This fungus can cause structural failure via windthrow / collapse and stem fracture.
There is therefore a foreseeable risk that the tree will fail and fall towards the building, and it is concluded that for safety reasons tree T2 should be removed within 13 weeks.
