Notice of Pre-application Consultation Event

Description of Proposed Development

An EIA application to extend the life of existing quarry and ancillary operations, increase the depth of excavation and the existing maximum quarry output; extend the eastern quarry boundary; install and operate an asphalt plant; increase maximum stockpile heights; revise the phasing and restoration plan; and (in retrospect) form an acoustic bund and water settlement ponds

Location of Proposed Development

Goathill Quarry, Fife is 3.5 km south of the village of Cowdenbeath and 5 km north of the village of Burntisland.

Location of Information

Site plans and draft environmental statement are available to be viewed at Crossgates Community Centre.

Date and Place of Public Event

The first open day will be the 17th of June 2026 and the second open day will be the 1st of July 2026 at Crossgates Community Centre; 3pm to 7.00pm.

Comments by the Public to the Applicant

Following the public event, the public have 21 days to make representation to the Applicant’s Consultants.
