The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Diversion of Highway (South West) (No.11) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up and diversion of a length of Byway SHAL6 at Shalbourne in Wiltshire. This is to enable development as permitted by Wiltshire Council under reference PL/2025/05831.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SW/S247/6219). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Marlborough Library, 91 High Street, Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 1HD.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 11 June 2026.
