GUILDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT GUILDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (“THE COUNCIL”) INTENDS TO APPROPRIATE LAND PURSUANT TO SECTION 122 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council proposes to appropriate part of the land forming the development site at Clover Road Guildford Surrey GU2 8EY (the “Land”). The part that is to be appropriated is held under the Open Spaces Act 1906 as shown edged red on the plan.
2. By virtue of section 122 (2A) and (2B) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to appropriate the Land to be held for planning purposes in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act 1990.
3. The plan of the Land is available to view by appointment at Guildford Borough Council, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey GU2 4BB or can be requested electronically. Please email sarah.shortland@guildford.gov.uk to make an appointment to inspect the plan or to request an electronic copy of the plan.
4. Before making any further decision of the proposed appropriation, the Council will consider any objections or written representations received. All objections or written representations should be in writing to Sarah Shortland Corporate Programmes Guildford Borough Council, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey GU2 4BB or by email to sarah.shortland@guildford.gov.uk no later than 13th July 2026.
