Public Path Extinguishment Order 2025

On 21 May 2026, the Council of the Borough of South Tyneside certified the above named Order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as certified means that the the Public Footpath commencing at Grid Reference NZ 3687, 6507 at the land close to Mortimer Primary School, South Shields and heads north westerly direction for approx 16m and then turns in a north easterly direction for approx 242m to finish at Grid Reference NZ 3699, 6527, as shown on the order map, is extinguished.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed on deposit and may be inspected free of charge at the office of South Tyneside Council, Town Hall & Civic Offices, Westoe Rd, South Shields, Tyne & Wear, NE33 2RL from 10am to 3pm Mon to Fri. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at a price of £10.
