A Public Inquiry against refusal of the above Planning Application will be held (under Section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990) before an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for housing, Communities and Local Government opening on 30th June 2026 at 10.00 am at the Council Chamber, West Oxfordshire District Council, Woodgreen, Witney, OX28 1NB. 7 sitting days are currently scheduled for the Inquiry: Tuesday 30th June to Friday 3rd July and Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th July. Interested parties may attend and at the Inspector’s discretion, give their views. Copies of the Council’s and the appellant’s case may be viewed on the District Council’s website, www.westoxon.gov.uk.
This inquiry is planned as an in person event, however as per the current Planning Inspectorate guidance the Council must be prepared for the inquiry to be held fully virtually at short notice and without postponement if required. Please therefore email us at Planning.Appeals@westoxon.gov.uk, quoting reference number 26/00008/APPEAL, to register in advance if you wish to attend, so that we may include you in notification of any change of arrangement. Please include:
- Name of attendee/s
- Email address
- Details of the attendee’s status within the context of the appeal (e.g. interested party)
Capacity at the venue will be limited, and will be on a first-come basis on the day. There will be no catering/refreshments on site, therefore please bear this in mind if attending.
