TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON A52 EASTBOUND, DERBY

WHEN: 05 June 2026 to 10 June 2026 (20.00 to 06.00) Overnight (excludes weekend) 

WHERE: A52 Eastbound from adjacent to Spondon exit to M1 Junction 25 overbridge. 

REASON: Maintenance and repair of the National Highways A52 eastbound corridor 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A52 Eastbound – Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road – Nottingham Road – A6005 Derby Road and continuing along the B5010 Derby Road/Nottingham Road and rejoining at M1 Junction 25

TEMPORARY BUS LAYBY AND TAXI LOADING BAYS SUSPENSION ORDER ON MORLEDGE, DERBY

WHEN: 15 June 2026 to 19 June 2026 (09:30 - 15.30) Daily 
WHERE: Morledge, close all the bus laybys, taxi and loading bays from the Bus Station vehicle entrance to its junction with Albert Street. Work to be done with suspension of bays in phases. On-site Marshalls to manage pedestrians as required. 
REASON: Gulley repair works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Not Applicable

TEMPORARY LEFT TURN SLIP CLOSURE ORDER ON
MANOR ROAD, TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON UTTOXETER NEW ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 08 June 2026to 19 June 2026 (20.00 to 05.30) WHERE: Uttoxeter New Road, from its junction with Manor Road to its junction with Uttoxeter New Road Roundabout/Royal Derby Hospital main entrance. Manor Road, Close left turn slip road onto Uttoxeter New Road REASON: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kingsway (A5111) – A38 Southbound – A516 – Etwall Road Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY BUS LANE SUSPENSION ORDER AND TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE ORDER ON TRAFFIC STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 22 June 2026 to 03 July 2026 (20:00 - 06.00) Daily Overnight 

WHERE: Traffic Street, suspend the entire inbound bus lane. 
Close footway on Traffic Street, from its junction with Hope Street to its junction with Petrol Station exit, for a distance of approximately 20 metres. 

REASON: Install EV charging station and associated works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Use signalised pedestrian crossing as shown on-site

TEMPORARY FOOTWAY AND ROAD CLOSURE
ORDER ON HOPE STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 22 June 2026 to 03 July 2026 (20:00 - 06.00) Daily Overnight

WHERE: Hope Street, one-way outbound closure from its junction with Traffic Street for a distance of approximately 45 metres. Close footway on Hope Street, between the Petrol station access for a distance of approximately 20 metres. 

REASON: Install EV charging station and associated works. 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Road Diversion: Hope Street – Liversage Road – London Road Footway: use opposite footway.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
COLVILLE STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 29 June 2026 to 17 July 2026 WHERE: Colville Street, from its junction with Shaw Green to No 29 Residents private car park.

REASON: Repair Drainage ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Colville Street – Ashbourne Street – Shaw Street – Shaws Green (and the same in the opposite direction)
