HENLEY-ON-THAMES FOOTPATH NO. 6 (PART), 
FOOTPATH NO. 8 (PART) & UNRECORDED FOOTPATH
PUBLIC FOOTPATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2026

The above Order was made by South Oxfordshire District Council on 2 June 2026 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 because it is satisfied that it is necessary to stop up the footpaths to which this Order relates in order to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, namely: the building of a residential side annex to 78 Deanfield Road, Henley on Thames, RG9 1UU under planning reference: P24/S3241/FUL.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge 
at the offices of South Oxfordshire District Council from 8.30am to 
4.30pm Monday to Friday. 

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or 
delivered in writing addressed to Planning Registration Team, South 
Oxfordshire District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, 
OX14 3JE no later than 3 July 2026. Please state the grounds on 
which it is made. 


If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, South Oxfordshire District Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

Henley-on-Thames Footpath No. 6 (part)

The entire width of Henley-on-Thames FP6 that runs from OS Grid Reference SU 75365 82133 (Point A on the Order plan) east-northeastwards for approximately 25m to SU 75388 82141 (Point D).

Henley-on-Thames Footpath No. 8 (part)

The entire width of Henley-on-Thames FP8 that runs from OS Grid Reference SU 75370 82135 (Point B) north-westwards for approximately 9m to SU 75362 82139 (Point E).

Henley-on-Thames Unrecorded Footpath

The entire width of the unrecorded footpath in Henley-on-Thames that runs from OS Grid Reference SU 75373 82136 (Point C) north-north-westwards forapproximately 59m to SU 75342 82186 (Point F).
