PROPOSAL: WIND FARM ON AND AROUND THE FORMER CHALMERSTON OPENCAST MINE, EAST AYRSHIRE
Brockwell Energy Limited (‘BEL’) invites you to attend a public exhibition for a proposed wind farm on and around the former Chalmerston Opencast Mine, Dalmellington, East Ayrshire.
The central grid reference for the Chalmerston site is NS 47188 09004.
• The first consultation event will be on Wednesday 17th June 2026, from 12 noon until 7pm, at Dalmellington Community Centre, 38 Ayr Road, Dalmellington, KA6 7SJ. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available for all.
• Staff will be on hand to guide you through the exhibition and to answer any questions you might have regarding the proposed development. A series of exhibition boards will be displayed to assist understanding of the proposed development and its components.
• Further information can be found regarding the proposal on the BEL website at
https://www.brockwellenergy.com/projects/chalmerston-wind-farm along with a digital copy of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Report.
• Persons wishing to comment to BEL relating to the proposals can do so as follows:
