THE SITE OF ‘TOWN END PLAYING FIELDS, ACKWORTH’
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wakefield is considering the disposal of an area of open space at ‘Town End Playing Fields, Ackworth (Approximately 9140 m2). This disposal consultation is required to formalise a lease for continued community & recreational use of the playing fields.
A copy of the plan indicating the land in question, together with further details, may be inspected on the Wakefield Council website at (https://www.wakefield.gov.uk/business/propertyfor-sale-or-rent) and also during opening hours at Wakefield One reception.
Any person having any objection to the disposal should make such objections in writing by emailing the Real Estate Management team at (PFMservices@wakefield.gov.uk) and quoting reference: (DC/00235). Letters can be sent to Real Estate Management Team, Wakefield One, PO Box 700, Burton Street, Wakefield, WF1 2EB, to be received no later than 02/07/2026 and must give full reasons for the objections.
