Southbourne - Publication of Southbourne Allocation Development Plan
What is planned?
Southbourne Allocation Development Plan Document 2021 – 2039

Subject matter and area covered
Notice is hereby given that Chichester District Council is published and is inviting comments on the Southbourne Allocation Development Plan Document 2021 – 2039 (DPD). The consultation is on the version which the council intends to submit to the Secretary of State for independent examination. The DPD sets out the preferred site allocation for the delivery of at least 800 dwellings and associated infrastructure in Southbourne and is derived from policy A13 of the Chichester Local Plan 2021-2039 (CLP). The DPD includes a Framework Masterplan for the proposed allocation. The DPD also identifies a landscape gap as per policy NE3 in the CLP. The area covered by the DPD is therefore the allocation area and the landscape gap. The DPD is accompanied by a policies map which shows the updates to the current policies map, and is underpinned by a Sustainability Appraisal and a Habitats Regulation Assessment.
