What is planned?
THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL
(A755 BRIDGE STREET AND C61S BEACONSFIELD PLACE, KIRKCUDBRIGHT) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Traffic Regulation Order will be to impose No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on specified lengths of A755 Bridge Street and C61s Beaconsfield Place, Kirkcudbright.
Full details of the draft Order may be inspected between 04/06/26 and 25/06/26 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 01387 271100).
Objectors must state their reasons in writing to Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR, to be received by 25 June 2026.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close St Mary’s St from Atkinson Pl to St Cuthbert’s St and St Cuthbert’s St from St Mary’s St to Moat Brae,11:00 to 12:00 Saturday 13/6/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate a Jazz Brolly Parade. No alternative route is available – minor delays should be expected.
Emergency vehicle access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The applications, associated plans and documents can be viewed online by following the ePlanning link on the Council’s website at www.dumfriesandgalloway.gov.uk/planning. Written comments may be made to Head of Economy and Development by email to Planning@dumgal.gov.uk or via the Council’s website, as noted above, by 18/06/2026 (Type A) or 25/06/2026 (Type B).
