(PRIORY SQUARE SHOPPING CENTRE, THE PRIORY QUEENSWAY, BIRMINGHAM, B4 6PH) PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on 22 May 2026. The effect of the Order will be to stop up the following public paths as shown on the Order Map:

1. The public path commencing adjacent to the south eastern corner of the junction of Bull Street and Corporation Street (Point A on the Order Map) with a width of 2.5 metres and proceeding in a north westerly direction for 83 metres (Point B on the Order Map), then proceeding in an east south easterly direction for 36 metres gradually widening to a width of 17 metres (Point C on the Order Map) and continuing in an east south easterly direction for a further 10 metres gradually narrowing to a width of 7 metres to its end (Point D on the Order Map) as shown in bold black edging on the Order Map.

2. The public path commencing adjacent to the north western corner of the junction of Dale End and The Priory Queensway (Point E on the Order Map) with a width of 3 metres proceeding in a north westerly direction for 2 metres (Point F on the Order Map) widening to a width of 6.5 metres and continuing in a north westerly direction for 44.7 metres (Point G on the Order Map) then proceeding in a south westerly direction for 44.6 metres with a width of 7.5 metres to its end (Point H on the Order Map) as shown in bold black edging on the Order Map.

3. The public path commencing adjacent to the north western side of the junction of Dale End and Albert Street (Point I on the Order Map) with a width of 32 metres proceeding in a north westerly direction for 43 metres (Point J on the Order Map) gradually narrowing to a width of 11 metres and continuing in a west south westerly direction for 25 metres (Point K on the Order Map) then proceeding in a south south westerly direction for 27 metres with a width of 8.5 metres to its end (Point L on the Order Map) as shown in bold black edging on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Council’s Legal & Governance Department, The Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B1 1BB between the hours of 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 9am and 4pm on Fridays.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Sonia Banger, Birmingham City Council, Legal & Governance Department at the address set out in the preceding paragraph not later than 3 July 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Birmingham City Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
