Notice is hereby given that applications have been received by the City and County of Swansea as Local Planning Authority for planning permission for the following developments:
A. DEVELOPMENTS WHICH DO NOT ACCORD WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN IN FORCE IN THE AREA IN WHICH THE LAND TO WHICH THE APPLICATIONS RELATE ARE SITUATED:
SITE: PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT:
Prysg Farm Llanrhidian Swansea SA3 1EX - Construction of a small, purpose-built bat roost structure within the grounds of Prysg Farm (Ref: 2026/0791/FUL).
B. APPLICATIONS FOR LISTED BUILDING CONSENT:
SITE: PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT:
Llys Glas Alexandra Road Swansea SA1 5AJ - Conversion of Llys Glas Student Accommodation into Temporary Supported Accommodation (Class 2A) with associated services and office space to the ground floor. To include new sprinkler, CCTV and fire alarm systems, new access control and door fob systems, sensor lighting to communal areas, mechanical and electrical refurbishment. New doorway on ground floor allowing access from corridor to office, and new secure door to reception office. Upgrade of 5 existing kitchens, and installation of 3 new kitchens in existing bedroom spaces. Washing facilities installed in all existing kitchens - Variation of Condition 2 of Listed Building application 2024/2245/LBC granted 25/01/2026 to replace an existing casement on the first floor to the courtyard to a 30 minute fire rated one (Ref: 2026/0838/S99).
Vivian Engine House Neath Road Landore Swansea SA1 2LE - Redevelopment of listed Vivian and Musgrave Engine Houses and Chimneys, including restoration and intervention works, a new link building, a flexible D1, A1, A2, A3 use as well as associated works including hard and soft landscaping, drainage and a new access road to the site (application for Listed Building Consent) (Vairiation of condition 2 of planning permission 2024/1662/LBC approved 10th April 2025 to allow for new and updated drawings and reports to be included with the consent as the proposed foundation design of the Link Structure has been changed, along with the ground backfill, following further assessment of the below-ground archaeology) (Ref: 2026/0743/S99).
