LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123(1), (2A) LAND AT MILES PLATTING, MANCHESTER, M11

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Manchester City Council intends to dispose of open space land located at Miles Platting, Manchester.

The Land is situated approximately 1 mile east of the city centre of Manchester. The Land edged red on the plan within Appendix 1 has an area of approximately 3.4 acres and lies within the boundary of the authority of Manchester City Council in the ward of Miles Plating & Newton Heath. To the east, south and west of the site are largely residential areas. To the north, across Oldham Road there are predominantly commercial uses as well as the vacant land on the corner of Oldham Road / Collyhurst Street.

The subject land is well kept and currently managed by Jigsaw under the PFI agreement.The land subject to this notice and described above, is more particularly shown edged red on the deposited plan which may be inspected at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via email at phlegal@manchester.gov.uk Objections to the intended disposal must be sent to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk so as to be received no later than 28 June 2026.
