PUBLIC NOTICE by Westminster City Council
Notice is hereby given that Westminster City Council proposes to make an order under sub-section 247 (2A) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (“the 1990 Act”), the general effect of which will be to authorise the stopping up of a 1.11 square metres area of the highway St. George Street to enable development to be carried out at the premises 25-27 St George Street, W1S 1FS. The development comprises the construction of a revolving door on the St. George Street frontage of the building 25-27 St George Street, W1S 1FS.
The part of the highway that the order would authorise to be stopped up is semi-circular in shape and extends by as much as 0.7 metres from a 2.2 metres length of the present ground floor external wall of that building’s St. George Street frontage.

The order and plan identifying the location of the highway proposed to be stopped up may be inspected free of charge between 11am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, during a period of 28 days from the date of this notice. Any person may, within that period, object to the making of the order by notice to Westminster City Council, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, SW1E 6QP.

This notice is given by Westminster City Council, on the date 27 May 2026 pursuant to section 252 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
Westminster City Council granted permission for the development under part three of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 on the date 23 September 2025 under reference 25/06059/NMA.
