Notice is hereby given that M74 West LTD (“the Company”) with company registration number SC755763, having its registered office at 10 Newton Place, Glasgow, Scotland, G3 7PR has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate the M74 West Renewable Energy generating station on a 1,275 hectare (ha) site approximately 1.1 km northwest of Abington and approximately 4.5 km southeast of Douglas, within the planning authority of South Lanarkshire (Central Grid Reference : NS 989983 26013). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be approximately 275 MW comprising up to 22 turbines with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 200 metres, solar power generators, of approximately 80 MW generating capacity, and a BESS with approximately 50 MW capacity. The proposed development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced.

The Company has also requested a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

The Company has now submitted additional information to Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating to the environmental effects of the grid connection for the M74 West Renewable Energy Park including in combination with the generating station and considering any cumulative effects.

Any new representations on the additional information may be submitted via www.energyconsents.scot, using the relevant Project Name and/or ECU reference number.

Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.

All representations should be received not later than 23rd of June 2026. Scottish Ministers may be able to consider written representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the Company will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

Where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, they can cause a public inquiry to be held.

Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:
• Grant consent, with or without conditions attached; or
• Refuse the proposal.
