Planning Appeal Inquiry (for 8 days over 3 weeks)
Land West of The Cemetery, London Road, Maldon - Outline application with all matters reserved, except for access, for the erection of up to 275 residential units including affordable housing, land for a children's nursery (Class E), 1.8ha of land for an extension to Maldon Cemetery, drainage works, landscaping, vehicular access to the A414, pedestrian/cycle access to Spital Road and London Road, and associated infrastructure works.

Notice is hereby given that an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold a Public Inquiry opening on 2nd June 2026 at 10.00am regarding the appeal by LSL Partners & Cirrus Land against the decision of Maldon District Council to refuse planning permission for the proposal described above.
The Inquiry will be held at:
Council Offices, Maldon District Council, Princes Road, Maldon, CM9 5DL
Members of the public are welcome to attend the inquiry in person, and at the discretion of the Inspector, may be invited to speak.
The Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State is Mr Guy Davies BSc (Hons) DipTP MRTPI.
