The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (East) (No.9) Order 2026" authorising the stopping up of an eastern part width of Vardon Road consisting of highway verge at Stevenage. This is to enable development as permitted by The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government under appeal reference APP/K1935/W/25/3362953.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk, (quoting SU01309620). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at: Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 1HD.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 May 2026.
