The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (South West) (No.8) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of an area of unnamed highway leading off New Road at Fairford, Gloucestershire. This is to enable development as permitted by Cotswold District Council under reference 25/02206/TDC.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SU00086254). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Fairford Community Centre, High Street, Fairford, GL7 4AF.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 May 2026.
