The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Diversion of Highway (West Midlands) (No.8) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up and diversion of an eastern part width of the unnamed footpath connecting High Street to Short Street at Brownhills in Walsall. This is to enable development as permitted by Walsall Council, under reference 21/1571.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/WM/S247/4108). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Walsall Council, The Civic Centre, Walsall, WS1 1TP.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 May 2026.
