NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Prescott Avenue, Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 26th May 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Prescott Avenue, Golborne from 26th May 2026 until 1st June 2026.
The alternative route for traffic is: Edge Green Lane – Helen Street – Park Avenue.
The Order is necessary to allow new electrical connection.
Mather Lane, Leigh – Temporary Closure
Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Mather Lane, Leigh) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 26th May 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Mather Lane, Leigh from 26th May 2026 until 31st May 2026.
The alternative route for traffic is: Chapel Street – Spinning Jenny Way – King Street – St Helens Road – Bonnywell Road – Pennington Road – Hope Carr Road – Siddow Common
The Order is necessary to allow electricity cable installation.
