ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(ABERFORD ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 130) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Aberford Road, Wakefield one way closure from the roundabout, junction of Bar Lane to outside 13 Aberford Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Aberford Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Novale Way, Aurora Drive & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th April 2026 to 14th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SECKAR LANE, WOOLLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 132) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for essential upgrade to infrastructure to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Seckar Lane, Woolley for approximately 10 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Seckar Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Seckar Lane, Water Lane, New Road, Barnsley Road, Seckar Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th April 2026 to 1st May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WASDALE ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 141) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for essential upgrade to infrastructure on behalf of Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wasdale Road, Wakefield from the junction of Keswick Drive to junction of Rydal Drive. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wasdale Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Rydal Drive, Keswick Drive & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th May2026 to 5th June 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BLACKER LANE, NETHERTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 143) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds  for litter picking, grass cutting, road sweeping, tree pruning & gully cleaning to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Blacker Lane, Netherton, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Blacker Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Denby Dale Road, Bar Lane, Stocksmoor Road, Upper Lane, Netherton Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th May2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
