What is planned?
CITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON COUNCIL
PROPOSAL TO EXPAND COLTON HILLS COMMUNITY SCHOOL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and
Inspections Act (2006) and The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to
Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013 that the City of Wolverhampton
Council intends to make the following prescribed alteration to:
Colton Hills Community School, Jeremy Road, Wolverhampton, WV4 5DG
It is proposed the Colton Hills Community School's capacity is permanently increased
to enable the school to cater for up to 1,200 pupils. It is proposed that, with effect from
1 September 2027, the school's Year 7 admission limit is increased from 161 to 240.
The admission limit for subsequent Year 7 intakes would also be 240.
REPRESENTATION

Within four weeks of the date of publication of this proposal, any person may object to,

school.organisation@wolverhampton.gov.uk and should be received no later than
17 May 2026.
