What is planned?

GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

Regulation 19 (Of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012) Public Consultation

This notice is issued by Gravesham Borough Council to invite representations on the DRAFT GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (GBC) LOCAL PLAN 2042

The purpose of the Regulation 19 Consultation

The draft local plan, and supporting documents, will be available for public inspection to provide residents, businesses, and stakeholders with the opportunity to comment on the soundness, legal compliance, and the duty to cooperate of the Draft GBC Local Plan 2042.

Period of Public Consultation

Regulation 19 Draft GBC Local Plan 2042 will be the subject of a 6-week period of public consultation from 00:00 17 April 2026 until 17:00 on 29 May 2026. Representations received after this deadline will not be taken into consideration.

Inspecting the Documents

The consultation documents are available to download from the Council’s website:

https://localplan.gravesham.gov.uk/. Alternatively, a hard copy of the consultation documents and questionnaires will be available for inspection at:

Gravesham Gateway, Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1AU during normal office hours.

Public Libraries - Gravesham’s Permanent Public Libraries during their normal opening hours.

Making Representations

Representations cannot be made anonymously. Please provide your name, company name (if applicable) and your client’s name/company (if applicable), address, and email. Please note that representations will be made public along with your name.

Representations should be submitted in writing using one of the following methods:

At the end of the consultation period, all representations will be considered. We will publish a statement which summarises the main issues raised, along with our response to these issues and any resulting changes to the Draft Gravesham Borough Council Local Plan 2042.

All submitted comments will be passed directly to the Planning Inspector for examination.
