Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (Regulation 7(2) (b))
“Proposed holiday accommodation development, including communal facilities, to create multi-day visitor destination; formation of access, landscaping and associated works” at Dalkeith Country Park, Land at Cat Haugh, Dalkeith, EH22 1ST.
A public consultation event will be held in The Boudoir, Restoration Yard, Dalkeith Country Park, Midlothian, EH22 1ST on Thursday 2nd April 2026 between 3pm - 7pm where you can view the proposals and the development team will be available to answer any questions. Consultation boards will also be available to view on our dedicated website – (

) from 10am on the day of the consultation.

Comments can be made to the Applicant at the public event, through the website or submitted via the above contact details. Comments are invited until 30th April 2026. There will be a second public consultation event held at Dalkeith Library on 22nd April 2026.
Please note that comments made at the event, or through the above, are to The MDS Estates Limited as the Applicant and are not representations to the planning authority. There will be an opportunity to make representations to the planning authority when an application for planning permission is submitted.
