SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL
SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 65, PENWORTHAM GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above order was made on 12 March 2026. The effect of the order will be to divert sections of:
(a) that part of Footpath FP65 from point B running in an easterly direction for a distance of about 34 metres to point D and thence in a north easterly direction for a distance of about 25 metres to point E for a total distance of about 59 metres as shown by a bold black line marked B-D-E on the order map.
(b) that part of Footpath 65 from point C running in an easterly direction for a distance of about 35 metres to point D as shown by a bold black line marked C-D on the order map
(c) The entire width of that part of Footpath 65 from point F running in a generally easterly direction to point H for a distance of about 9 metres as shown by a bold black line marked F-H on the order map
and create an alternative footpath instead on a line
(a) running from point A in a north easterly direction for a distance of about 57 metres to point E as shown by bold black dashes marked A-E on the order map. This alternative highway will be public footpath with a width of 2 metres.
(b) running from point F in a generally easterly direction for a distance of about 4 metres to point G as shown by bold back dashes marked F-G on the order map. This alternative highway will be public footpath with a width of 2 metres
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge in reception at Civic Centre at West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (inclusive). Copies of the order and map may be bought there at a reasonable price.
Any representations about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Legal Services at South Ribble Borough Council Civic Centre West Paddock Leyland Lancashire PR25 1DH not later than 20 April 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, South Ribble Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation any
representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
