Grange Road, Birkenhead, Stopping Up to enable Development

The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a southern part width of Grange Road, Birkenhead in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside.

If the order is made, the stopping up will be authorised only to enable development as permitted by Wirral Council under reference DPP4/24/01070.

Copies of the draft order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Birkenhead Central Library, Borough Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 2XB in the 28 days commencing on 11 March 2026, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting SU09/825366) at the address stated below.

Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 08 April 2026. You are advised that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to the applicant/agent to enable your objection to be considered.
