CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(GREEN LANE, STEWARTBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Green Lane, Stewartby 20 metres either side of the bridge.
This temporary closure is required to enable rerail works, S & T inspection, pothole repairs, and white line painting to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 22 March 2026 between the hours of 0600 and 1500. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Green Lane, Broadmead Road and Green Lane and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Standalone Warren, Haynes outside Lodge Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 24th March 2026 between the hours of 0900-1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Plummers Lane, Northwood End Road and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 25 March 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Surface Dressing/ Surface Dressing/ Lining and Civils Works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 20 March 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The Order will come into operation on 9 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
