What is planned?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications have been made to the BOROUGH COUNCIL of NEWCASTLEUNDER- LYME for planning permission for the development set out below: -

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2010 Article 13

1. Construction of new club shop and relocation of existing bin store at Newcastle Town Football Club, Buckmaster Avenue, Newcastle, Staffordshire, ST5 3BX by Newcastle Town Football Club. File ref: 25/00918/FUL (Affects a Public Right of Way).

2. Variation of condition 2 of planning permission 21/00655/FUL for additional House Type (Ht353) 27no HT315 to be substituted for HT353 at Land between Apedale Road and Palatine Drive, Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire by Gleeson Homes. File ref: 26/00014/FUL (Application for major development)

3. Retrospective full planning application for the retention of an attenuation storage pool for the storage of biodegradable organic digestate with associated access to serve the arable farmland of the applicant’s agricultural holding (Description amended 15.01.2026) at Leycett Farm Leycett Lane Leycett Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire by Mr J Brown (Application affects a public right of way).

4. Outline planning application, with all matters reserved except for vehicular access to the site from A53 Whitmore Road, for the construction of up to 620 dwellings (including 30% affordable housing provision on site), a country park, public open space including equipped areas of play and allotments, green infrastructure, tree planting, SUDS infrastructure, the formation of the first phase of the Keele Link Road between the A53 and A525, associated infrastructure/works, and the demolition of the existing brick structure at Land North West Of Whitmore Road And South Of Newcastle-Under-Lyme Golf Club, Whitmore Road, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire by Richborough. File ref. 25/00973/OUT (Application for major development)

During the period of 21 days beginning with the date of the publication of this Notice you may call in to Castle House Barracks Road Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 1BL at any time between the hours of 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays only, or the Customer Services Centre in Kidsgrove Town Hall Liverpool Road Kidsgrove between the hours of 9.00 am to 1.00 pm or 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm on weekdays only, to inspect the application plans and documents.

Alternatively the applications may be viewed on line at www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk
