NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15
Notice of proposed development/works at (a) Site for Proposed Agricultural Buildings to the South East of Trawden Recreation Ground, Keighley Road, Trawden. 25/0844/FUL Full: Erection of 1 no. agricultural cattle building, 1 no. midden store with ancillary hardstanding. The proposal is within the Trawden Forest Conservation Area. (b) Manor House Farm, Brogden Lane, Barnoldswick. 26/0014/FUL Full: Erection of a concrete slurry storage tower with conical roof cover. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building.
HOUSEHOLDER APPLICATION
(c) Owlet Nest Farm, County Brook Lane, Foulridge. 25/0857/HHO Full: Erection of a single-storey garden room (link building) to connect the existing dwelling to the detached garage, erection of a detached outbuilding comprising a double carport and workshop and associated landscaping. A Public Right of Way is adjacent to the proposal. As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 6 February 2026. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 6 February 2026; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (
under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
