NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15
Notice of proposed development/works at (a) Tanners House Farm, Old Stone Trough Lane, Kelbrook. 25/0831/FUL Full: Demolition of existing dwelling and detached outbuilding and the erection of a two-storey detached dwelling with integral double garage. A Public Right of Way is adjacent to the proposal. (b) The Technology Centre, Carr Road, Nelson. 25/0852/FUL Full: Change of use of first floor from storage associated with shop (Use Class E) to Community use (Use Class F2), including external alterations to form an access ramp to the front of the building. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. (c) 40 Manchester Road, Nelson. 25/0858/FUL Full: Change of use from Estate Agents (Use Class E(c)) to a Hot Food Takeaway/Diner (Sui Generis), installation of an extraction flue to the rear, insertion of window opening to front including new shopfront installation with shutters. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area.

(d) The Old Grammar School, School Lane, Earby. 25/0841/LBC Listed Building Consent: Re-slating of existing roof and rebuilding of eastern garden wall. The proposal is within the Earby Conservation Area. The proposal affects a Listed Building. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 30 January 2026. The case officers dealing with these applications are: (a) Luke Jones who can be contacted on (01282) 661239, (b,c) Laura Barnes (661719), (d) Athira Pushpagaran (661091). Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 30 January 2026; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (

www.pendle.gov.uk

under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
