NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

(Public Footpath No.1R/1994 (Part) in the Parish of Lichfield)
Public Path Diversion Order 2025
The above Order was confirmed on 5 December 2025. The effect of the Order will be to divert that part of footpath No.1R/1994 (Part) in the Parish of Lichfield commencing at Grid Reference 412324, 308294 (Point A on the Plan) and running in a generally south south-easterly direction for approximately 26 metres to Grid Reference 412333, 308270 (Point B on the Plan) on to a line commencing at Grid Reference 412324, 308294 (Point A on the Plan), and proceeding in a southerly direction for approximately 5 metres passing through a safety gate at Grid Reference 412324, 308289 (Point C on the Plan), then passing over the canal swing bridge for a distance of approximately 8 metres then through a safety gate at Grid Reference 412324, 308281 (Point D on the Plan) before running in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 15 metres to Grid Reference 412333, 308270 (Point B on the Plan) as shown on the order plan.
A copy of the Confirmed Order and the Order Map may be viewed on the Council’s website or at the offices of Lichfield District Council, District Council House, Frog Lane, Lichfield between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.
The Order will come into force once Lichfield District Council certify that the new footpath has been provided to a satisfactory standard. Any person aggrieved by the Order, wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or any regulation made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act within six weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
