NOTICE OF PRODUCTION OF CONSULTATION DRAFT PLANNING GUIDANCE FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2
KIRKCUDBRIGHT CONSERVATION AREA CHARACTER APPRAISAL AND MANAGEMENT PLAN

Dumfries and Galloway Council has opened a public consultation on draft planning guidance to Local Development Plan 2: Kirkcudbright Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan. The consultation will last until Monday 19th January 2026 and the document is available to view online at: www.dumfriesandgalloway.gov.uk/consultations

A paper copy will also be available in Kirkcudbright Library, Daar Road, during its opening hours. (B727 DALBEATTIE - GATEHOUSE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close B727 between Culraven Cottages and Borgue House, Borgue from 0930 to 1530 on Monday 15th December 2025. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via B727, A755, B727 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
