What is planned?

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 as amended by The Town and Country Planning (Pre-Application Consultation) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021.


Notice under Regulation 7(2) (b) Pre-application consultation by the prospective applicant for:
Planning Permission in Principle (PPP) for Redevelopment of Cameron Toll Shopping Centre to provide mixed use development comprising retail, commercial and public realm, with other uses potentially including residential, student accommodation, later living accommodation, hotel, office space, sports/leisure and community uses along with associated landscaping and infrastructure.
And;
Mixed use development potentially comprising retail, commercial, residential, student accommodation, later living accommodation, hotel, office space, sports/leisure and community uses and public realm, along with associated landscaping and infrastructure.
At Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, 6 Lady Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5PB.
The first of two consultation events will take place on 15 December 2025 between 2pm and 7pm at The Central Mall, Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, 6 Lady Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5PB. Members of the project team will be available to discuss the proposals, receive feedback, and answer any queries during this time.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to the City of Edinburgh Council. Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken at that time and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
