Public Consultation on the Proposed Blackwood Wind Farm
Blackwood Wind Farm Limited is conducting a public consultation event on a proposal to construct a wind farm and battery storage development with a capacity in excess of 50MW on land approximately 2km southeast of New Cumnock, East Ayrshire. The closest settlement to the proposed wind farm would be New Cumnock.
The second public consultation event relating to the proposal will be held on Wednesday 10th December (12pm until 3pm and 5pm until 8pm) at New Cumnock Town Hall.
This event will provide information about the project and members of the project team will be available to answer questions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback about the proposals by completing a feedback form available at the event.

The final deadline for submitting comments will be the 12th January 2026.
PLEASE NOTE that comments submitted at this stage are not representations to the consenting authority (Scottish Ministers) and if the applicant submits an application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Scottish Ministers. This public consultation is an opportunity to comment on our plans, which may alter before a formal application is made.
