What is planned?

THE BOROUGH OF NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123(2A) as amended DISPOSAL OF LAND forming part of public open space: Land & Pavilion at Birchenwood, Mount Road, Kidsgrove. Staffordshire ST7 4GL

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Newcastle-under- Lyme intends to dispose of Birchenwood Pavilion and adjacent football pitches, the whole demise measuring approximately 21.07 acres (8.53 hectares) and incudes and area of open space The proposed disposal will be by way of a new lease for a term of twenty-five years. The land and pavilion will continue to be used for sporting purposes. Further information and a plan showing the area (identified edged in red) may be obtained from the Council’s Service Director Commercial Delivery (Property Section reference LB/CM).

Objections to the intended disposal must be in writing and addressed to Council’s Service Director - Commercial Delivery (Property Section reference LB/CM), Castle House, Barracks Road, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire ST5 1BL by no later than 12th January 2026.
