To ever reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below and to all others whom it may concern:

An application has been made to the West Sussex County Council as Commons Registration Authority by the Lord of Cuckfield under Section 19 of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons Registration (England) Regulations 2014. The application seeks to amend common land registrations CL315, CL319 and CL324 and town or village green registrations VG68, VG72, VG75, VG76 and VG98 by updating the ownership section of those registers to record that ownership of the above mentioned common land and town or village green parcels is vested in the Manor of Cuckfield.

The application may be inspected at the office of the Directorate of Law, Assurance and Insight, West Sussex County Council, County Hall, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1RQ between the hours of 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays (except Public Holidays) or on the Council’s website https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/land-waste-and-housing/public-paths-and-the-countryside/public-rights-of-way/ rights-of-way-public-notices/

Any person wishing to object to the application should send a statement of the facts on which the objection is based to the Directorate of Law, Assurance and Insight, West Sussex County Council, County Hall, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1RQ or email: legal.services@westsussex.gov.uk quoting reference CC803.17573 on or before 15 January 2026. Representations must include the name and postal address of the person making them and the nature of that person’s interest, must be signed by the person making the representation and must state the grounds on which they are made.

Any representations received by the Council cannot be treated as confidential and will be copied to the applicant for comment and may be disclosed to other interested parties. Dated 4 December 2025
