Hellifield, Skipton – Footpath Diversion for Barn Conversion Development
What is planned?
Notice of Making of A Public Path Diversion Order, Town & Country Planning Act 1990, The North Yorkshire Council, Footpath No. 05.25/18 Hellifield Diversion Order 2025
The Authority gives notice that it has made an Order on 11/11/25 under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 because it is satisfied that it is necessary to divert the public footpath described below to enable development described in the Schedule to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under reference ZA24/26605/FUL. Footpath 05.25/18 running generally in a southerly direction from Grid Reference 38784 45462 via the farmyard to Grid Reference 38782 45439 of between 1.2 metres & 0.6 metres width, will be diverted onto a new route from Grid Reference 38784 45462 running in a southeasterly direction through a gate at Grid Reference 38785 45462 to a gate at Grid Reference 38795 45446, continuing in a southwesterly direction through a gate at Grid Reference 38784 45442 to a gate at Grid Reference 38782 45439 on a grass surface. The Footpath width will be 2 metres.
A copy of the Order & Order map may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at North Yorkshire Council offices, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ, & viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/public-rights-way/rights-way-public-notices/. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Andrea Muscroft at North Yorkshire Council, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ not later than 18/12/25. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that objections & representations cannot be treated as confidential & may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate if the case is referred to it for determination. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, The North Yorkshire Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any representations & objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
Schedule – The Development Reference ZA24/26605/FUL Change of use of a traditional barn & outbuilding for short term visitor accommodation or residential dwellings at Haugh Field Farm, Hellifield, Skipton, BD23 4EH.
