What is planned?

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
NUNEATON AND BEDWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
FOOTPATH B25 PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023

The above order was confirmed as unopposed on 5 November 2025. The effect of the order is to divert the public footpath B25 as follows:

All that section of public footpath from Point A (grid reference SP 3425 8457) laying to the west of Wilsons Lane, Bedworth and running generally in a north-easterly direction for approximately 370 metres to Point B (grid reference SP 3439 8490) and then in a south-easterly direction for approximately 535 metres to Point C (grid reference SP 3458 8441).

All that section of new footpath laying to the west of Wilsons Lane, Bedworth commencing at Point A (grid reference SP 3425 8457) and running generally south-east for approximately 505 metres to Point D (grid reference SP 3459 8443) and then running in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 27 metres to join the existing footpath at Point C (grid reference SP 3458 8441). The new footpath shall have a width of 3 metres between Point A (grid reference SP 3425 8457) and Point D (grid reference 3459 8443) and 2 metres between Point D (grid reference 3459 8443) and Point C (grid reference SP 3458 8441).

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Town Hall, Nuneaton from 10.00am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.00.

The order came into force on 5 November 025, but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within six weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by Schedule 14 to that Act.
