I give notice that the following planning applications have been received by Hyndburn Borough Council:  Notice Of Planning Applications for Developments Affecting Setting of Listed Buildings and/or the Character or Appearance of a Conservation Area. Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2004. Regulation 5 & 5A. Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.Part I Section 67 and Part II Section 73

11/25/0449 - Mr I Gregg - 18 King Street, Accrington, BB5 1PR - FULL: External alterations to include new and amended windows/doors and re-roofing.

11/25/0453 - Mr I Gregg - 18 King Street, Accrington, BB5 1PR - Prior Approval: (Part3, Class MA) Conversion of the existing building into 11No. 1-bedroom apartments

11/25/0466 - Mr I Janneh - Former Law Courts and Police Station, Manchester Road, Accrington BB5 2BH - Discharge of Condition: 3 (recording) attached to listed building consent reference 11/24/0026

The developments (1125/0449 & 11/25/0453) could, in the opinion of the Council, affect the setting of the following Listed Buildings: The RAILWAY VIADUCT Grade 2 listed. The proposed developments to which the applications relate are situated within 10 metres of relevant railway land.

Application 11/25/0466 could, in the opinion of the Council, affect the setting of the following Listed Buildings: MAGISTRATES COURTS, POLICE STATION Grade 2 and the Character or Appearance of the Christ Church Conservation Area

Applications can be viewed on a computer in the reception area at Scaitcliffe House, or on the Hyndburn BC website at www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk. by going to the Planning & Environment section and clicking on View Applications. You will need the application number for the search.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about any application should write to the Council Planning Department, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod St, Accrington BB5 3AE or by email to planning@hyndburnbc.gov.uk by 12/12/2025

For all the above Applications
In the event that an appeal is made against a decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made by the owner or tenant to the Council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations. Any owner or tenant wishing to make representations should do so by the date given above.
