What is planned?
THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE CALLERTON AVENUE & MALVERN ROAD, NORTH SHIELDS
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on:
NEW YORK AND MURTON
Callerton Avenue near Tyre Spot/Norham Road.
PRESTON WITH PRESTON GRANGE
Malvern Road near the junction of Preston North Road.
Access maintained for residents. Alternative routes and road closures will be indicated by on site signage and access to be given where possible.
The Order will come into force on 4 December 2025 and lasts until 31 December 2025 in order to allow Speed Cushion Renewal works.
