What is planned?

PRE-APPLICATION PUBLIC INFORMATION EVENT

PROPOSAL: Provision of two roadside service stations, one on each side of the A8 Ballynure Road. The proposal also includes associated parking and access roads, including new slip roads to/from Ballynure Road and alterations to the existing north and south-bound exits onto Ashley Road, as well as landscaping.



LOCATION: Lands on both sides of the A8 Ballynure Road, adjacent to the east of 50 Ballynure Road and adjacent to the west of 24, 25, and 27 Ashley Road, Newtownabbey



EVENT: A pre-application community consultation event will take place on 2nd December 2025 between 14:00 – 19:00 at Corrs Corner Hotel, 315 Ballyclare Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4TQ.



WEBSITE: Details of the proposed development will be published on the Bell Rolston website. The details will be live from 21st November 2025 and will remain there until 19th December 2025 inclusive. The website can be viewed at

Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council. If a formal planning application is submitted to the Council, local advertisement and neighbour notification will take place and there will be an opportunity to make representations to the Council at that time.
