COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that The City of Edinburgh Council in exercise of the powers conferred by the above mentioned Acts, on the 10 November 2025 made the above mentioned Compulsory Purchase Order which affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of the construction, maintenance, repair, improvement and inspection of, and use as, cycle track and footpath comprising the Duff Street Lane Link forming part of the Roseburn to Union Canal Link and Greenspace Improvements Project.

The Order is about to be submitted to the Scottish Ministers for confirmation and comes into operation only if confirmed. If the Order is confirmed, a conveyance registered in implement of the Order may vary or extinguish rights to enforce real burdens and servitudes affecting the land.

A copy of the Order and the maps referred to therein have been deposited at the Edinburgh City Chambers, 253 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ and may be seen there without payment of fee during the hours of 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and during the hours of 8.30am and 3.40pm on Friday.

Any objection to the Order must be made in writing stating the title of the Order and the grounds of objection and addressed to Fred O’Hara, Road Policy Team, Transport Scotland, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER or if via email to roadpolicy@ transport.gov.scot. All objections must be received by 23:59 on 10 December 2025 Dated 10 November 2025
