What is planned?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications have been made to the BOROUGH COUNCIL of NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME for planning permission for the development set out below:
Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 Development affecting a Conservation Area /Listed Building
1)Replacement of shop front windows and doors to seven commercial units at 15, 17, 19, 29, 31, 35 And 37 Merrial Street, Newcastle, Staffordshire, ST5 2AE by Newcastleunder- Lyme Borough Council. File ref. 25/00805/DEEM3 (Site is within Newcastle Town Centre Conservation Area)
2)The proposed works are designed to remove all existing vegetation from the portal and retaining wall of the original Brindley route of the Harecastle Tunnel. Once the vegetation has been removed, it is proposed that the mortar joints will be inspected and localised repairs will be performed where required at Harecastle Canal Tunnel North Portal Harecastle Tunnel The Avenue Kidsgrove Stoke-On-Trent by Mr Mark Somerfield File Ref 25/00723/ LBC (Application is a Listed Building and is within Hardings Wood conservation area).
3)Construction of a partial retaining wall that will also provide a suitable structure on which to mount memorial stones at St John The Baptist Parish Church Church Road Ashley Market Drayton Shropshire TF9 4LQ by Mr Stephen Hart. File Ref 25/00816/FUL (application site is within the curtilage of a Grade II Listed Building).
4)Proposed conversion and change of use of the first and second floors of 51 - 52 Ironmarket into 4 flats at 51 - 52 Ironmarket Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire by Mr Mo Chaudry File Ref 25/00614/FUL (Application site is adjacent to a Grade II Listed Building in Newcastle Town Centre Conservation Area)
The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2010 Article 13
1) Variation of condition 2 of planning permission 24/00307/ FUL to increase the building footprint to allow for an additional workshop bay, thus future proofing the building for future potential business growth at Vehicle Storage Land, Linley Road, Talke, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 1XS by Mrs Rebecca Nisbet, Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd. File ref. 25/00799/FUL. Application for major development.
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated. During the period of 21 days beginning with the date of the publication of this Notice the Planning Authority provides the facility to inspect the application plans and documents on line at www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk by following the link to Planning and Public Access
