Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc

ELECTRICITY ACT 1989
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997 THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2017

As directed by regulation 23 of the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) 2017, notice is hereby given that Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc, has been granted consent by Scottish Ministers to upgrade and operate, a transmission line, located in the Planning Authority areas of Angus Council, Perth and Kinross Council and Fife Council. The project includes the following: the upgrading of approximately 37 km of the existing 275kV overhead line including the replacement of conductors, insulators and fittings, tower modification works and replacement tower to enable operation at 400kV. The development is located between the existing Tealing substation and the licence boundary shared with Scottish Power Energy Networks south of Newburgh.

Scottish Ministers have also directed, under section 57 (2) of the Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, that planning permission is deemed to be granted. Copies of the decision statement and related documentation can be obtained from https://www. energyconsents.scot using the ECU reference number: ECU00005168.

Copies of the decision statement and related documentation have been made available to Fife Council, Perth and Kinross Council and Angus Council to be made available for public inspection by being placed on the planning register.
