What is planned?

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (West Midlands) (No.21) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of the whole of St Lukes Close at Silverdale, in the Borough of Newcastle Under Lyme. This is to enable development as permitted by Newcastle Under Lyme Borough Council under reference 24/00231/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/WM/S247/5802). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council, Castle House, Barracks Road, Newcastle-UnderLyme, Staffs, ST5 1BL.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 7 November 2025.
