What is planned?
LOCH LOMOND & THE TROSSACHS NATIONAL PARK
Notification of Provisional Tree Preservation Order
Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997
The Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation Order and Trees in Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Regulations 2010
Notice is hereby given that a Tree Preservation Order has been made by the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority as planning authority for:
TPO Title: Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority Tree Preservation Order No 4 of 2024
TPO Location: The Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Luss Camp Site Road, Luss, Argyll and Bute G83 8NT
Community Council Area: Luss and Arden CC
Reason for making this Tree Preservation Order
The woodland and tree groups provide valuable green screening of the campsite and hotel from Loch Lomond and from each other. The woodland and tree groups also form valuable habitat within areas otherwise developed and intensively managed. It is expedient in the interests of amenity to make the Order which will ensure that the wooded nature and appearance of the shores of Loch Lomond is protected long into the future and that development does not coalesce.
The Order came into effect on 28 October 2025 and there is an opportunity to make comments before a decision is made by the National Park Authority’s Delegated Authorised Officer (or Planning & Access Committee if objections are raised).
